+ The season premiere of House was mind-blowing. I absolutely loved it, perfect, just perfect. To me, it had the quality of a feature movie; excellent script and acting. I laughed and I cried, and yes, it was not the usual setting, but I liked that, it gave more realism to the story, a real continuity, and more depth to House, more insight to his soul and for the first time, I saw true caring and emotion , real connections, wow, just WOW.

+ True Blood Season 2 was even better than season 1, and I have fallen for the Eric/Sookie ship very hard, boy isn't Skarsgard gorgeous? Sookie annoys me at times, not sure why, but the 2 of them together, me like. Bill always looks *issed, it gets old after a while, I am kind of glad ( Read more... )

+ Watched Men who hate women, yesterday. It's an excellent Swedish thriller. I was very impressed, I was shattered and reading the subtitles was exhausting at first, but I really got caught up in the story, I highly recommend it :D

It's nice that the series have started again, but I watch too many, so it takes too much of my time, I think I am a series addict...

Started watching the vampire diaries. I want to like it, it's a vampire show and after being bitten by Spike I can't help but looking for him in any new V show I can put my hands on.

So I think I will be sticking with Glee this first season, I am enjoying it, it's entertaining, it's like a cross between Fame, My fair Lady and -insert some funny high school show, my mind being blank right now -

EDITED to add, my hubby filmed this, and don't you just love how he started the shot with Tess sitting between our gorgeous bin and a box full of alcohol, lol *rolleyes*, I am actually packing stuff away in the Kitchen, I am painting it soooooooon. The dining room has just been done , all white for now, some colour will be introduced later, but I like a blank canvas to get me inspired :D before it was peach and green *ewwwww* and the kitchen is currently brown , green and orange, hmmmm, well not for long!!!!! :P

Finally saw Terminator Salvation and Star Trek, yes I know really late compared to the Flist :P

Star Trek was plain awesome from start to end, plus I saw it in the cinema in the UK ( went there a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend with hubby) so the big screen really helped to enjoy those wonderful special effects. Loved all the characters, the humour, the hints to the original series, really awesome, well I guess I am not surprising anyone here ;)

As for Terminator, the copy I had was quite poor but I was dying to see it, so I did. It was enjoyable, I am sure I'd appreciate it more when I'll have a DVD copy. however ( Read more... )

So I just watched the entire series of Lilies, a BBC 2007 series, really enjoyed it, and because of the Father Melia and Iris Moss moments, I have this urge of re-watching an old old favourite: The thorn birds *sigh* I was so young when I watched it, ( dubbed in French lol, did not mind at the time) and I NEED to watch it again, like NOW, in English. I am worried I could be disappointed, the story is perfect in my head, and if I watch it again I might find it was not as good as I remembered !

Anyway, I don't have a copy yet, should I watch it ????

Just finished watching Being Human, all 6 episodes, please tell me this is not the end, is there a second series? More eps? O_o

All wrapped up into one movie!!

So here is a quick Tess update, we went to see the doc today and she is a heatlhy 13 months old baby. \o/

Today's Stats:

Weight: 9.6Kg
height: 75cm
HC: 46cm
Food: 3 meals a day, loves yoghurts and still nursing (really proud of that) so I supposed I have earned that :


She usually sleeps very well, up to 12 hours straight.
Starting nursery tomorow, just for an hour with me, then I 'd like her to go for 2 to 4 hours a week, just so that she gets to interract with other children and adults a bit more. It will be hard for me to leave her even for such little time, but I think she will enjoy it.

Tess is just a wonderful baby, she smiles so much, such a happy baby, she is very ticklish and I love to play hide and seek with her. She does not walk on her own yet, but will walk around her bed/playpen, and pick stuff up to throw them on the floor, which I find hilarious.

Watched Valkyrie a week ago. I was really dying to see it, I love second world war movies that give a different take on the usual perception of the era. ( not a revisionist perception, ewwww, just a different angle) So I was really curious after seeing the trailer.

I use outlook 2007 and when I click on a link inside a mail it opens the webpage inside Internet Explorer, which would be fine, but I prefer to use Opera as a browser, is there anyone who knows how to change the browser setting for outlook? thanks :)

I really needed something like this because I am watching way too many TV series, and I never seem to remember, when they're on , or on hiatus or back etc. :D

So as promised a couple of pics from Tess' birthday. Her dad was in the UK working so I had invited a friend and her 2 lovely daughters, and baked a chocolate cake. We are doing a family party with my parents and my hubby on Saturday. So anyway, It was so cute to see her taste her first chocolate cake, she played with it more than anything, don't think she liked it that much ;)

I am really annoyed with youtube, due to their recent trouble with some major company, loads of nice vids have been removed or muted!!! so I have been trying to download a few that I particularly enjoyed quickly before they all disappear.
