After the latest episode of Spartacus, 208, I am again obsessing over the possibility of Spartacus/Ilithyia, which seemed pretty much impossible before despite their sexy encounter in season one. It's funny when a ship takes over your mind for a little while,  well mine anyway, I get all day dreamy about possible scenarios, I am hooked. I really think it could happen, I am sure many will think me deluded, but I love my crazy impossible weird ships, they're so not boring.

As for The Hunger Games, I did not even know the books or movie existed a week ago. I saw the trailer, and heard that it was the next BIG thing, got curious, and read the first book in a day on my beloved Kindle, and pretty much finished the trilogy in 3 days. I was stunned, feeling numb and empty at the very end, kind of happy but I wanted to read more. know more, I wanted more detail about Katniss and Peeta's continued story. I think I will have to download  fanfics, so if any one can rec some good ones, I'd be grateful.
I can't wait to see the movie now, I love the actress chosen to portray Katniss, finally a pretty not stick thin girl on screen!! I am getting thick of gaunt faces and super thin bodies, it's getting beyond the joke! Not that she is fat, of course not, but she looks like a healthy looking girl to me, and she looks more beautiful to me because of it.

Must do list, real soon:

1 - get off Tumblr real soon long enough to actually DO something, this stuff is way too addictive and yet you accomplish nothing but staring at things you'd like :/

2 - Install photoshop and ilustrator on the new laptop and get creative again, I have this urge to make graphics but I just stare at the pretty rather than make any - see number 1!!!!!

3 - Make some pretty Kirk/Spock icons and graphics once number 2 has been achieved. I am enjoying this pairing so much , that's all I read, and yet I don't even have one single KS icon!!! That won't do.

4 - Get the the hubby to finish Zacharie's room NOW, so that I can really decorate it, and have fun with fabrics and other crafty stuff, and get him to sleep in it, hopefully... I am so TIRED, I feel like I have not slept in months, actually, it's probably true, he wakes up every 2 hours, still, and refuses the bottle, so it's me, me and just me, which would be fine if he slept *sigh*

6 - Must make Star trek , Kirk/Spock friends to share in my new obsession. I have been lurking in that fandom for a year now... and "fan girling" alone is kind of boring.

Isn't it weird when so called micro blogging gets you to post even more often in one day that you'd do in one month/year on other traditional blogs?
The first time I looked at the Tumblr blog site, I was not too sure I liked it, or even got it, after trying it for real, It's actually quite addictive and fun, you don't post anything profound, much, but I like the visual impact, and I usually enjoy traditional design and crafts blogs, and there's loads there, yeah, it's fun. Sill can't really work out all the different buttons, or ways of interacting with others, am I old, or what, ggrrr. Is there a guide "tumblr for dummies" out there. there's no proper help blog, that I know of...

So today , I had much to do and by that I mean very interesting tasks such as ironing, washing, cleaning, yawn yawn yawn, so instead I surfed the net, and ended up on Tumblr and thought what a great way that would be to share more vids and pics with family and friends using the private blog feature. So I created a private blog. And then I thought, maybe I could have another public blog, since I am posting here so much *insert sarcasm* , so anyway, I have a brand new shiny Tumblr blog:

Dear LJ, I have not been very good at posting I really sucked at posting for the last 12 months last 20 months. so here is a quick summary.

Tess is now 3 and a bit, going to school, cheeky and adorable.

I got pregnant again :P , that was tiring , got sick, and huge, and very grumpy.

I had a beautiful baby boy on the 15th of Jan 2011.

His name is Zacharie, and he was nearly 5 kilos at birth, and yes I had a c- section, but I lost a lot of blood and had a transfusion, that was pretty scary, it took them an hour to patch me up :(

Zacharie is doing great,but me, I am exhausted.

Still watching too many series, currently loving Game of thrones, the good wife, and Fringe.

I have also developed an obsession with my new OTP Kirk/Spock, since I watched the reboot movie. I read way too many K/S fics. Any star trek fans on my flist?

I have a funny feeling I have already asked this question , hmmm, but what free software do you use to make screen captures?

+ The season premiere of House was mind-blowing. I absolutely loved it, perfect, just perfect. To me, it had the quality of a feature movie; excellent script and acting. I laughed and I cried, and yes, it was not the usual setting, but I liked that, it gave more realism to the story, a real continuity, and more depth to House, more insight to his soul and for the first time, I saw true caring and emotion , real connections, wow, just WOW.

+ True Blood Season 2 was even better than season 1, and I have fallen for the Eric/Sookie ship very hard, boy isn't Skarsgard gorgeous? Sookie annoys me at times, not sure why, but the 2 of them together, me like. Bill always looks *issed, it gets old after a while, I am kind of glad ( Read more... )

+ Watched Men who hate women, yesterday. It's an excellent Swedish thriller. I was very impressed, I was shattered and reading the subtitles was exhausting at first, but I really got caught up in the story, I highly recommend it :D
